Chain design with skulls. The skull is primarily seen as a symbol of death and danger, in earlier times also as a symbol of mortality (especially in the visual arts) and for military uniforms symbolizes the wearer's willingness to die for the homeland. In Christianity, the skull is a symbol of repentance and the transience of life. In some cultures, the skull is seen as a symbol of rebirth and life. It is associated with the soul and therefore the afterlife, and many cultures have used the skulls as a cult objects. Tribes of Southeast Asia, Oceania and South America considered the skull (and head as a whole) as symbols of power and withdrawal of their opponent´s head had to move oponent´s strength to warrior and his tribe.
