Silver pendant, garnet, tiny flower

Silver pendant, Ag 925/1000 - sterling silver. Flower - 8 small garnets surround a dominant garnet in the centre. An elegant piece made of semiprecious stones. In Greek mythology, pomegranates and garnets themselves symbolized eternal love and the promise of a quick return after two lovers have been separated for a long period of time. The ancient Greek god of death, Hades, gave a pomegranate to his wife Persephone to ensure they would meet again after she parted from him. Dimensions approx. 6x6mm.
